Fixed glazed roofs represent a modern structural solution for both residential and commercial spaces. Architects, designers, and builders worldwide utilize and specify them to ensure natural lighting within the space and to provide users with unobstructed views, free from solid, opaque barriers. The goal of all glass roof manufacturers is to create a product of high aesthetic value capable of withstanding the weight of glazing, including any additional loads (such as snow), while remaining watertight during rain and severe weather conditions.
In response to this design challenge and emphasizing attention to detail, Salinox has designed a fixed glazed roof (F-GR: Fixed Glazed Roof) that can be constructed in any size and geometry, from simple rectangles to pyramidal and polygonal shapes. The roof’s construction involves aluminum rafters that accommodate single and double safety glass panels, resulting in a perfectly watertight system overall. By exclusively using high-strength materials—aluminum and glass—it maximizes the glass surface, offering unobstructed views and protection even in the most challenging conditions.
Fixed glazed roofs have a wide range of applications, spanning from residential to commercial spaces and public buildings, wherever natural lighting within the structure is desired. Additionally, they serve as an ideal solution for covering light wells and for constructing gardens or terraces when combined with some of Salinox’s folding door or sliding window series.
