Salinox successfully completed the installation of an innovative F.O.S. glass sliding roof over the indoor pool of Negroponte Resort Eretria as part of the hotel’s renovation. The new roof replaced the old one, offering a modern and functional system.
The glass roof measures 450 x 450 cm and is divided into 4 sections. The two central sections are sliding and, when opened, stack over the two fixed sections located at the edges of the roof. This construction allows for seamless connection to the outdoor environment, providing brightness and ventilation to the pool area.
The roof’s operation is simple and user-friendly. With the press of a button, the movable section of the roof slides horizontally, fully opening the structure and offering a complete outdoor experience.
In enclosed spaces such as an indoor pool, the heat emitted from the water causes the formation of water vapor. These vapors, due to the heat, tend to rise towards the ceiling and accumulate at the top of the room. Excessive humidity in the pool area can lead to issues such as mold growth or damage to walls and ceilings if not properly controlled.
The glass sliding roof, which opens at the highest point of the room, provides a natural solution for managing water vapor. When the roof opens, the vapor accumulated at the top of the space is expelled through the opening, allowing its natural flow outward. This not only reduces humidity in the area but also improves ventilation, creating a more comfortable and healthier environment for pool visitors.
